A Call of Duty: Modern Warfare developer has responded to long-circulated rumors of a “supply drop” loot box system, saying Infinity Ward is not working on loot boxes of any kind. The Modern Warfare supply drop rumors began in late September, after a YouTuber posted supposed leaks about the system to Twitter. The YouTuber, TheGamingRevolution, claimed a string of his tweets came straight from an anonymous source at Infinity Ward. The tweets claimed a supply drop system would not only include more than 300 emotes and 500 titles, but weapons as well, leading the Modern Warfare community to believe the game would have a pay-to-win loot box system....

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that whilst China Mobile’s 4G services do not launch until the 18th, the carrier will open preorders for the iPhone from this Thursday, the 12th of December. The information is sourced from a customer representative conversation the Journal had with the carrier, after attempting to preorder an iPhone today, after the Journal found a new advertisement for China Mobile’s 4G service on its website (shown above)....

iTunes Radio, Apple’s upcoming streaming music service that will compete with services like Pandora and Spotify, will be partnering with large brands for audio and video advertisements, according to a new report by Ad Age. The service, which will be available on all iOS devices – including the Apple TV – and every computer that can run iTunes, will be ad-free for subscribers of Apple’s $24.99/year iTunes Match service, but otherwise “users will be served an audio ad once every 15 minutes and one video ad every hour”, according to Ad Age’s sources....

New data from Canalys this week breaks down how demand in the PC industry surged in Q1 of 2020 due to new reliance on remote work and distance learning because of COVID-19. Earlier this week we pointed out that several cars were spotted on display in Moscone Center during the morning of Apple’s WWDC keynote.
