The end-credits scene joke in Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is a reference to the Harley Quinn animated series on DC Universe. Though featuring several of DC Comics highest profile heroines from Huntress to Black Canary, Harley Quinn is the true centerpiece of Birds of Prey for better or worse. As of now this is the closest thing audiences have gotten to a movie built around the character, but she has been busy in all media in recent months....

Blizzard’s Warcraft 3: Reforged apology has kind of been issued, and it’s not going over well with fans who are still angry over the controversy swirling around what was supposed to be an easy and pleasant launch. Warcraft 3: Reforged is meant to be an improved variant of the 2002 RTS classic that played a crucial role in expanding esports while also producing the lore and backbone for World of Warcraft’s greatest heroes and villains, chief among them the downfall of Arthas that plays out over the game’s narrative....

Apple iPad 3 rumors indicate a March 7 announcement with a 2,048-by-1, 536-pixel Retina display, quad-core A6 processor, improved cameras, and now LTE chip. The over-all design of the tablet will remain the same, according to the consensus, but the big new feature will obviously be the new Retina display. Rumors also indicate LG and Samsung are manufacturing the display. ChinaTimes said in a new report this evening that Apple ordered a whopping 65 million 264PPI Retina displays from both LG and Samsung....

The implant is believed to be the work of APT41, a Chinese-speaking sophisticated hacking group also known as Winnti or Double Dragon. On January 20, Kaspersky researchers said that at the end of last year, the team uncovered a case of Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) compromise caused by the modification of one component in the firmware – a core element called SPI flash, located on the motherboard. “Due to its emplacement on SPI flash, which is located on the motherboard instead of the hard disk, the implant is capable of persisting in the system across disk formatting or replacement,” the team noted....

As we previously reported, the new software makes it easier to sync data between a Mac and a BlackBerry. It will sync contacts, calendar appointments, tasks and notes from Apple apps including iCal and Address Book. The software will also let BlackBerry users add and remove applications from their device, schedule back-ups, encrypt back-up files and install software update. In a move which Apple may act against, given its recent action to prevent Palm’s Pre in doing this, the BlackBerry software will let users sync their device with their iTunes library, though this presumably will only sync more recent iTunes purchases which lack DRM, and music copied from a CD....
