CD Projekt Red thinks that the studio’s E3 2019 will be the biggest the company has ever had. At a press conference discussing the 2018 fiscal year, CD Projekt Red talked about the studio’s plans for Cyberpunk 2077 E3 2019, addressing a recent rumor while establishing that fans have a lot to look forward to once the presentation begins in June.

The developer, most famous for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, has had a relatively quiet few years by comparison. Most of 2018, for instance, centered around the popular Gwent online trading card game. While that game has proven successful, it’s a far cry from the renaissance that was The Witcher 3 and all of its DLC content. The next ambitious project for the studio is Cyberpunk 2077, which is expected to have a major E3 2019 presence as it closes in on its eventual release.

During the CD Projekt Red conference, company president and joint CEO Adam Kicinski said reiterated that the company is committed to making Cyberpunk 2077 E3 2019 one of the most important events ever hosted by the developer. In fact, Kicinski stated that “we have really prepared a strong show” through an interpreter, once again hammering home the fact that CD Projekt Red expects big things to emerge out of its conference when E3 2019 rolls around, acknowledging that last year’s E3 was the biggest for the company before stating that this year’s show will top it.

At a different point in the conference, Kicinski noted that he believed E3 and other massive trade shows like it could be a great platform to announce big game launches. He didn’t elaborate further, however, which means it’s just a tantalizing tease at the possibility the Cyberpunk 2077 E3 2019 presentation could include a release date. Kicinski also addressed the rumor that Lady Gaga would have a role in Cyberpunk 2077 after an investor specifically asked about whether or not the company might be including celebrities in their presentation:

For a studio with as good a reputation as CD Projekt Red, stating that any trade show will be the biggest in company history is enough to get people to pay attention. Given that statement is probably related to the Cyberpunk 2077 E3 2019 presentation, it could mean the game is further along than we previously thought, and that a release date is coming sooner than expected. There’s also the chance that CD Projekt Red has been cooking up something else on the side, and we get a new game reveal instead. Either way, after a statement like that, gamers everywhere will be watching CD Projekt Red’s E3 2019 presentation with added interest.

“We prepared some surprises for E3, but no, it’s not going to be any pop artists.”
