The cast of The Circle is what made this show the incredible spectacle it was. From the late entrants to the OG crew, there was hardly a dull moment, which is saying a lot considering they spent nearly the entirety of the series locked away by themselves.
Sammie Cimarelli won the fan favorite, Chris Sapphire earned a shoutout from Sia and Joey Sasso was, well, Joey. There was the lovable Shubham Goel and the instantly meme-able Rebeccca/Seaburn. The final five could have their own reality spin-off. But if that isn’t in the cards, what reality television show would they each be best suited to tackle next?
Joey Sasso: Big Brother
Let’s get this out of the way first: Big Brother needs Joey more than Joey needs Big Brother. He told me as much, in so many words. Joey waited for the right reality television show, one that would give him the opportunity to stand out amongst a host of other amazing characters. Big Brother, in contrast, doesn’t always cast the most upstanding human beings. Joey could be a shining light on a series that has failed its audience with casting people who act in unsavory ways. Though he has the personality to fit right in on Big Brother, it’s a safe bet we won’t see Joey on this show anytime soon - even if we could totally see it.
Shubham Goel: Survivor
Shubham is a self-professed fan of Survivor. One of the contestants on the upcoming season, Adam Klein, said he once saw Shubham at a casting call for Survivor. Although Shooby might not be the strongest physical competitor, he showed an innate ability to make connections with people on The Circle. And it’s easy to picture Shubham having a blast snaking through the woods looking for a hidden immunity idol. His Achilles heel might be that he’d be so likable, it would make him a threat.
Sammie Cimarelli: Love Is Blind
Sammie was in a relationship when she was on The Circle. But she would still be a great fit for the new Netflix reality dating show Love Is Blind, if just to call guys out for their creepy comments. We saw Sammie pretend to flirt with some of the guys in The Circle, and her reactions to some of the messages that were sent her way were hilarious. As women fall for men they have never seen before in Love Is Blind, Sammie could serve as a comedic counterbalance, checking the men on their B.S. and choosing to leave on her own accord before the relationships start to get serious.
Chris Sapphire: The Bachelor
This is an idea Chris suggested to me during our conversation. The Bachelor has been painstakingly slow to embrace diversity, especially when it comes to same-sex relationships. Chris argues that it’s time for a gay lead of The Bachelor, and with a personality like his, the season couldn’t possibly be a bust. Even if Chris doesn’t find the love of his life on The Bachelor, he couldn’t possibly do a worse job than Peter Weber is currently.
Seaburn Williams: The Masked Singer
Seaburn Williams, A.K.A. Rebecca, was able to fool nearly everyone on The Circle when he catfished as his girlfriend. His next act of trickery should be to dress up in a bear costume on The Masked Singer. The only stipulation is that the bear can’t be named Sir Bear Bear, because then everyone is going to figure out it’s really Seaburn.
