Here’s a guide to the cast and characters featured in the Call Of Duty: WWII Nazi Zombies mode. The original Call Of Duty was released in 2003 and was set during the Second World War. First-person shooters set during this era were very popular at the time, which includes rival series Medal Of Honor. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare moved the series into the present day and is regarded as the best title in the franchise for its fantastic single-player campaign and multiplayer modes.

The FPS genre eventually moved around from the World War II setting and the Call Of Duty franchise got bigger with each passing entry. The setpieces got louder while actors like Kit Harrington (Game Of Thrones), Michael Keaton and Idris Elba appeared in various titles; it even went to space in Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare in 2016. Perhaps sensing the series needed to go back to its roots, Call Of Duty: WWII arrived in 2017. This sequel received some of the best reviews of the franchise in recent years.

Call Of Duty: WWII also included the now customary Zombies minigame. Nazi Zombies first appeared in 2008’s Call Of Duty: World At War and features players holding off waves of zombies. The aim of the game is for players to earn points to buy stronger weapons and try to hold out as long as possible. It was an addictive game in its own right that was added almost as an afterthought, but it’s evolved into its thing. Call Of Duty: WWII added a starry cast and storyline to the Nazi Zombies mode, so here’s a quick cast and character breakdown.

Ving Rhames - Jefferson Potts

Jefferson Potts is a Colonel assigned to the Monuments, Fine Arts, and Archives Program. Potts is a unique combination of an academic nerd and gifted soldier, which comes in handy when he and his team encounter a Nazi plan to create an undead army.

Katheryn Winnick - Marie Fischer

Marie, played by Katheryn Winnick (Vikings), is an Austrian engineer sent on a mission to her hometown. Her brother Klaus has been providing information about stolen artifacts, so she and the team are sent to recover them and rescue Klaus; of course, facing off with Nazi Zombies wasn’t in the brief.

Elodie Yung - Olivia Durant

Durant is an art historian and member of the French Resistance and joins the team on their quest to help recover stolen artwork. Like Potts, she’s got an academic mind but the fighting skills to back it up too.

David Tennant - Drostan Hynd

David Tennant (Doctor Who) plays the bad boy team member of Call Of Duty: WWII’s Nazi Zombies mode. Hynd is a Scottish art thief once employed by the Nazis but is given a choice between redemption by joining the team and helping recover artifacts, or going to prison; he chooses the former.
