Call of Duty Mobile has received a new update that brings back the fan favorite game mode Rapid Fire. Call of Duty Mobile is almost constantly updated in order to keep the game feeling fresh. This is the third time this season that players have had access to Rapid Fire, but the game mode will only be available until February 26th.

Call of Duty Mobile released last October and has been a massive hit with fans of the Call of Duty franchise. Unlike other Call of Duty games, the mobile title is free-to-play and gives Activision an opportunity to compete with games like Fortnite. The game is heavily inspired by the most popular facets of Call of Duty and features maps like Nuketown. Players are even able to unlock popular characters from the franchise like Soap and Ghost by leveling up. As the game has progressed there have been several extensive updates, like one that added zombies mode and enabled controller support.

Pocket Gamer reports that the newest update for Call of Duty Mobile added several new features including the Rapid Fire mode. Rapid Fire reduces the cooldown for all operator skills and scorestreaks, which allows players to use them almost at will. While this alone makes for a an extremely chaotic experience, players also have unlimited ammo for all guns. The mechanics of this game mode mean that players have to stay on the move constantly as they avoid streams of bullets and the constant use of skills.

Additionally the update is bringing back a long running series favorite Sticks and Stones to Call of Duty Mobile. This game mode was originally popularized in Call of Duty Black Ops, and players only have access to a crossbow, ballistic knife, and an axe to dispatch other players. Players will win the match by achieving the highest number of points rather than most amount of kills. Each weapon gives players a different amount of points, but the biggest twist is that if a player is killed by an axe they will lose all of their points. Players will have access to this game mode until February 29th.

The Call of Duty games are still massively popular and have shown no indication that they will be going anywhere anytime soon. Call of Duty Mobile is allowing a whole new type of fan to play the massively successful series. Since the title is free and has a host of accessibility features, like the ability to use a mouse and keyboard, more players than ever before have access to Call of Duty. This new update could bring even more players with it’s ridiculously fun game modes.
