Caitlyn Jenner accidentally wished her daughter Kylie a happy birthday using her other daughter Kendall’s childhood photo. Fortunately, the reality TV star quickly realized her mistake.
While supermodel Kendall, who is 5'10, might not look a lot like her sister Kylie, who’s 5'6, now, they were practically twins when they were younger. Longtime fans of Keeping Up with the Kardashians would have a hard time telling the two apart as they ran around the family’s mansion together as tweens. Apparently, even their own parent has a hard time telling them apart. To celebrate Kylie’s recent 22nd birthday, Caitlyn wanted to share a sweet picture of the two of them together from years ago. While she did find a sweet photo, it wasn’t who she thought it was.
In a now-deleted Instagram (via: Baller Alert), Caitlyn shared a photo of her and Kendall as a child, along with a sweet message to Kylie for her 22nd birthday. She wrote, “Life was so simple back then, but life is so good today. Happy Birthday to my little baby @kyliejenner.” Not too long after the birthday post was published, Caitlyn took it down and replaced it with a new photo series of her and both of her daughters when they were younger - a good way to play it safe this time. The caption read simply, “Happy Birthday @kyliejenner.” Followers in the comments made jokes about the sudden photo switch, writing, “ahh pics with them both, better not to risk it,” and “glad you got the right daughter this time, sis.”
Fans of Keeping Up with the Kardashians know that Kendall and Caitlyn have always been very close, because they both love sports and the outdoors. Caitlyn bonds with her tomboy daughter by riding horses and ATVs together. Meanwhile, Kylie and her dad have grown closer since Caitlyn’s transition, bonding over makeup and clothes. In Caitlyn’s defense, both of his daughters did look a lot alike when they were younger, so it’s an easy mistake for a 69-year-old to make. Next time, maybe she’ll run it past someone else before posting. Kylie shouldn’t be too bothered by the mistake, though, since she’s currently living her best yacht life while celebrating her birthday in Italy.
Compared to what Kylie’s boyfriend, Travis Scott, did for her birthday this year - filling her house with roses and buying her a giant Kylie Cosmetics-themed diamond chain - Caitlyn really dropped the ball. But that’s OK; she’s got a whole year and plenty more birthdays to make it up to her.
