Caitlyn Jenner had no family waiting for her after her exit from I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!. The internet was abuzz at the rejection that Caitlyn received and quickly took to her defense.

Jenner came out as transgender back in April of 2015. During a 2017 interview with Diane Sawyer, which aired on 20/20, Jenner confirmed that she had undergone gender reassignment surgery. The activists did point out that she always felt like a woman; the surgery had just enhanced that. She wanted to express that choosing to have the surgery never defined who she was as a human being, and Jenner admitted that after 65 years as a man, it took some time to get used to being Caitlyn. Before Jenner completed her reassignment surgery, she was married to Kris Jenner, sharing custody of their children, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner. The Olympic gold medalist was also married to actress Christie Crownover, with whom she has two children - Burt Jenner and Cassandra Marino. Jenner also has two more sons, Brendon Jenner and Brody Jenner.

Jenner was voted off I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here on December 6’s double elimination. But fans of the show were quick to notice that after the activist emerged from the jungle, there was no one from her family there to greet her, according to Us Weekly. Usually, when a celebrity is voted off the British TV show, their family is awaiting their exit, ready to hug them. Fans were livid that no one from the Kardashian or Jenner clan was there to support a member of their family.

After coming to grips that she had been cast off from the show, Jenner took to social media to make it clear that she did, in fact, have someone waiting for her when she exited. In her Instagram story, she shared with fans that she was getting her hair and makeup done as she desperately needed it after weeks of neglect, and she had a bunch of friends waiting to welcome her home. The California native then turned the phone camera onto Sophia Hutchins, saying this was the surprise she encountered when she got to the hotel room. Evidently, Hutchins, who had been Jenner’s business partner since 2017, was still on her airplane to Australia when the episode aired.

It may be safe to assume that the reason neither one of the Kardashians or Jenners were in attendance was due to Jenner’s outspokenness about them on the show. Jenner shared multiple facts about her famous family and even told viewers that she and Khloe Kardashian have not spoken in five years. Jenner even explained how much Kylie Jenner spends on security each month ($400,000). She also compared her family to the royal family, saying that she was part of the royal family of entertainment, which should entitle them to meet one another. Delusions of grandeur or not, the reality star is now safe at home, leaving the jungle far behind.
